Twinge lets people say how they feel about very specific things and find others who feel the same. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- The username you choose.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account email, name and profile picture URL, used only to sign you in and keep your account across devices.
- What you post: things, moments, reactions (love or hate, intensity) and notes.
- Cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember your language.
- Usage analytics (pages visited and actions such as creating or reacting) through PostHog, to understand what works. They are tied to your account ID, never to your email.
What is public
Your username, the things you add, your reactions and your notes are public, and are used to match you with people who feel the same. Your email is never shown to other people.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
- We don't share Google account data with anyone, except the services that run Twinge.
Services we use
Twinge is hosted on Vercel, stores data with Supabase, measures usage with PostHog and uses Google Gemini to translate titles and spot duplicates. When you share a link, we read its public title and preview image from the source site (for example YouTube or X).
Your choices
You can remove any reaction at any time. You can delete your account, with your reactions and notes, from your profile page. Things you added stay without your name, because other people react to them. To report content that exposes you, use the Report button on it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
